Her role at the firm
Patricia Ford is a legal assistant with extensive experience on serious injury and wrongful death cases, including trial work. One case she remembers involved a surgeon who removed the wrong lung and never told the patient, leaving him with the cancerous one. She takes comfort in helping families of people injured or killed by the negligence or reckless behavior of others.
Background
- Grew up a military kid, moving often, which explains her ease meeting new people and adapting to change
- Draws on the ups and downs of her own life to stay steady through difficult cases and connect genuinely with clients
Outside the office
Patricia’s other passion is dance. She travels to Chicago and other cities with a group of close friends to attend dance competitions. She has two daughters in their 20s. “They are smart, funny, happy, sweet, considerate human beings, and I am very humbled that I’ve had anything to do with them turning out as well as they have,” she says.
