Her role at the firm
Angela Bobbitt joined Parker Law Firm as a legal assistant in 1997 and now serves as Director of Operations. Clients often reach her during one of the hardest times in their lives, and she sees her job as being a calm in the storm and making sure the firm shoulders the load.
“There are a handful of clients who even after their case has concluded have continued to call or email me. I take that as the highest compliment,” Angela says. “To me they are real people going through a serious and emotional time in their life, and I will do everything I can to make it easier for them.”
Background
- Decided on the legal field at age 12 after reading To Kill a Mockingbird, and took Atticus Finch’s lesson of standing up for what is right, even when it is not popular
- Studied History Pre-Law at the University of Texas at Arlington before choosing to build her career at the firm rather than attend law school
Outside the office
Angela met her husband of 24 years on a blind date, and they have a son. She knits, crochets, scrapbooks, sews and cooks, and collects more books than her shelves can hold. Friday nights at home are for movies and pizza or tacos; Monday mornings she is back at the office helping clients.
